APMG revise P3M3™ Assessment

Following the revision to the OGC's P3M3 Standard, APMG have set up a project to revise the APMG P3M3 assessment tool, with a launch date of Monday 15 September 2008.

P3M3 can be used in many ways, for example:

  • To understand the key practices in effective portfolio, programme and project management processes
  • To identify the key practices that need to be embedded within an organization for it to achieve the next maturity level
  • To understand and improve an organizations capability to manage its portfolio, programmes and projects more effectively
  • By client organisations to assess the risks that might arise from process capability issues within service providers managing their programmes and projects.

The P3M3 model enables organizations to assess their current capabilities, identify where they want to be in the future and implement improvements in a clear and structured way. This will address fundamental aspects of managing portfolios, programmes and projects in their organisation and improve the likelihood of a quality result and successful outcome.
